Finance Controller

About the role

Bayfield Food Ingredients is seeking a hands‑on Finance Controller to build a robust finance foundation, ensure statutory compliance, and drive financial discipline in a fast‑growing food solutions business.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of statutory compliance, including GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC filings, Companies Act, PF/ESI/Professional Tax and MSME requirements.
• Manage monthly financial closing within ten working days, and oversee quarterly and annual closures.
• Prepare accurate Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements and monthly MIS reports for management.
• Maintain proper accounting of inventory, fixed assets, provisions, accruals and depreciation.
• Coordinate statutory, tax and internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of observations.
• Handle GST returns, TDS deductions, income tax compliance and tax reconciliations.
• Monitor working capital, drive timely receivable collections and manage banking relationships.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (mandatory).
• 4–6 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in manufacturing or food/FMCG.
• Hands‑on attitude with strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.
• Ability to work across functions and build finance processes in an entrepreneurial environment.
