Field Service Engineer - High Voltage Test Equipment

About the role

HAEFELY, a Basel-based company founded in 1805 and part of the PFIFFNER Group, provides high-voltage testing and measurement technology that supports the energy transition. It is hiring a Field Service Engineer based in Nashik, India, to commission, maintain and support high-voltage test and measurement equipment. The role involves extensive travel within India and abroad (about 60% to 70%), with on-site assignments lasting a few days to two weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Commission, install and set up new devices of high-voltage test and measurement equipment
• Inspect, modernize and maintain high-voltage test systems
• Carry out diagnosis, repair and preventive maintenance
• Perform precise calibration in line with internal quality standards
• Provide expert technical support and advisory services to customers and users, on the phone or on site
• Complete service documentation, including reports and expense records, accurately and on time

Required profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering; a Master's degree is an added advantage
• Preferred experience as a Field Service Engineer in high voltage
• Strong understanding of the mechanical, electrical and electronic systems of the high-voltage test equipment covered by the role
• Active personality who enjoys practical work and travelling

Required skills

• Interpretation of mechanical layout drawings, electrical schematics and bills of materials
• Calibration of high-voltage test equipment
