Executive IT Auditor – IT & Cybersecurity

About the role

As an IT Staff Auditor within Cognizant’s Global Internal Audit team, you will support IT and cybersecurity audit engagements across audit, SOX and advisory workstreams. You will work closely with the Engagement Manager, gaining exposure to diverse technology domains in a dynamic, globally dispersed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute IT and cybersecurity audit engagements in line with corporate methodology, managing scope, budget and risk objectives.
• Assist in cyber risk assessments, controls evaluations and leverage data‑analytics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare thorough work‑paper documentation that validates audit activities and findings.
• Track project status, milestones and budget, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Support remediation of Management Action Plans and follow‑up on identified deficiencies.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity audit.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical discipline.
• Knowledge of IIA standards, COSO, COBIT, ISO, NIST and Sarbanes‑Oxley testing.
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ownership, integrity and adherence to professional ethics.
