Engineering Manager

About the role

Flipkart’s Shopsy team is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a full‑stack engineering group of 8‑12 engineers. You will shape the technical vision, drive product delivery and mentor team members to grow their careers while supporting the company’s mission to transform commerce in India.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for major projects and define component and system abstractions.
• Build, guide and scale a high‑performing full‑stack engineering team.
• Set the technology roadmap, align it with business goals and ensure agile delivery.
• Establish and enforce best‑practice development standards.
• Architect robust, flexible and scalable solutions for high‑transactional, large relational systems.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers and analysts to estimate and plan work.
• Mentor engineers, create clear career paths and conduct regular performance reviews.

Required profile

• 10+ years of total experience in software engineering.
• Proven leadership and people‑management skills.
• Deep understanding of highly scalable and highly available architectures.
• Experience with large‑scale transactional and relational systems.
• Strong object‑oriented design capabilities.
