Engineer - QA/QC - MEP (Site)

About the role

The Engineer – QA/QC – MEP – Site supports quality assurance activities on construction sites, ensuring that mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems are installed according to drawings, specifications and client requirements. You will work closely with senior QA/QC engineers, site execution teams and external testing agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior QA/QC engineers in inspecting electrical conduit, cable trays, plumbing and piping layouts, HVAC ductwork and fire‑fighting installations against approved shop drawings.
• Inspect incoming MEP and steel materials (pipes, cables, motors, panels, valves, steel sections, fasteners) to verify storage, tagging and certification.
• Coordinate with laboratories and third‑party agencies for non‑destructive testing (NDT), pressure tests, megger tests and functional performance checks.
• Document inspection observations, complete checklists and support stage‑wise testing such as pipe leak testing and duct insulation verification.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering (ITI with relevant experience may be considered for junior roles).
• Basic English for documentation and fluency in Hindi or the local language for site communication.
• 3 to 10 years of experience supporting MEP inspections, documentation and field‑level compliance on construction projects.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of MEP system installations and inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with electrical conduit, cable tray, plumbing, piping, HVAC ductwork and fire‑fighting system checks.
• Experience with material inspection (pipes, cables, motors, panels, valves, steel sections, fasteners).
• Ability to coordinate NDT, pressure testing and megger testing with external labs.
• Proficiency in documenting inspection results and completing checklists.
