Electronics Design Engineer - Wireline

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer II to lead the design and development of innovative electrical and electronic products for wireline applications. The role involves creating PCB layouts, developing analog and digital circuits, validating prototypes, and supporting the transition of products into manufacturing while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, including PCB layouts, analog/digital circuits, sensors, and electronic components.
• Develop and validate prototype circuits through design, build, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure designs meet IPC, IEC, and EMI/EMC standards and maintain documentation in PLM systems such as Windchill.
• Research and evaluate component replacements for obsolescence management.
• Create factory acceptance test (FAT) procedures and support manufacturing transition.
• Assist repair & maintenance teams with troubleshooting and sustaining engineering.
• Coordinate equipment and material requirements to meet project schedules.
• Provide post‑project technical support, including remote and onsite troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in electronic product design and development.
• Hands‑on experience with PCB design, analog/digital circuits, power electronics, and prototype testing.
• Familiarity with factory acceptance testing, engineering documentation, and manufacturing support.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

Required skills

• Analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, PCB development.
• Proficiency with Altium, PADS, and Microsoft Visio.
• Experience using Windchill PLM or similar systems.
• Knowledge of IPC, IEC, and EMI/EMC standards.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and laboratory testing abilities.
• Prototype development, validation, and manufacturing support.
• Electronic component sourcing and obsolescence management.
