Electrician – Residential & Small Commercial Projects

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, on‑site Electrician to join our lean, hands‑on trade business in Chennai. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems for residential and small commercial clients, ensuring safety and compliance with local codes.

Key responsibilities

• Install, wire, and commission lighting, distribution boards, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
• Repair or replace faulty components while adhering to safety standards.
• Document work performed, materials used, and client communications.
• Coordinate with the owner and other trades to keep projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and safe practices.
• Hands‑on experience with installation, wiring, and panel work.
• Relevant electrician certification, trade licence, or vocational training as required by local regulations.
• Familiarity with Chennai/Tamil Nadu electrical codes and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and manage time effectively.
