Electrical QAQC Engineer – Semiconductor Facility

About the role

The Electrical QAQC Engineer will ensure that all electrical equipment, power distribution, instrumentation and control system commissioning activities at a semiconductor facility meet design specifications and applicable standards. Acting as the quality interface between the owner, general contractor and E&I sub‑contractors, you will drive compliance and documentation throughout the project.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect installation of HT/LT switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, bus ducts, cable trays and power panels.
• Verify instrument installation, loop checks, calibration records and tagging according to P&IDs and instrument index.
• Review ITP compliance, witness hold points and conduct grounding, continuity and insulation resistance (Megger) tests.
• Raise and track NCRs, coordinate corrective actions and manage punch‑list items.
• Maintain quality dossiers, as‑built inspection records and test reports using Excel‑based trackers.
• Prepare weekly quality status reports and presentation slides for project leadership.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation & Control.
• 8+ years of E&I quality experience on large industrial or infrastructure construction projects.
• Experience in semiconductor, data‑centre or clean‑room facilities is a strong plus.
• Strong coordination skills with GCs, PMC and third‑party inspectors.
• Detail‑oriented, assertive in quality enforcement and able to work under schedule pressure.

Required skills

• Instrument loop check, calibration verification and tagging.
• Grounding, continuity and insulation‑resistance (Megger) testing.
• NCR management and punch‑list follow‑up.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (trackers, pivot tables, charts), PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, single‑line diagrams and instrument data sheets.
• Knowledge of IS, IEC, NFPA and ASTM codes.
