Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Hydro Prokav Pumps India is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure high availability of CNC, VMC and HMC machines in its Coimbatore manufacturing plant. The role focuses on preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC and HMC equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, PLC and control issues.
• Analyse, modify and optimise PLC ladder logic to resolve machine faults.
• Manage machine controller parameters, backups, restoration and optimisation.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor machine health using condition monitoring and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, uptime, downtime, cost) and compliance with IMS standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Coordinate with production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
• Support spare‑parts inventory management and procurement planning.
• Assist in machine installation, commissioning, relocation and upgrades.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience maintaining CNC, VMC and HMC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Experience in machine commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.

Required skills
