Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of air handling units (AHU), electrical, fire protection and electrostatic discharge (ESD) systems within the facility. You will support day‑to‑day operations, manage preventive maintenance schedules and respond quickly to breakdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain AHU, electrical, fire protection and ESD systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) according to schedule and attend breakdowns within defined response times.
• Perform troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.
• Maintain critical spare inventory, monitor stock levels and trigger replenishment.
• Track energy and water consumption, identifying conservation opportunities.
• Coordinate new machinery installation, utility connections, trial runs and commissioning.
• Plan facility requirements for equipment installation (power, air, exhaust, space, utilities).
• Oversee machinery unloading, shifting, positioning and safe movement.
• Implement and maintain CMMS records, PM schedules, breakdown history and work orders.
• Ensure 5S implementation and close audit observations within target timelines.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors and cross‑functional teams for facility activities.
• Guarantee compliance with safety, statutory, electrical, fire and ESD regulations.
• Drive continuous‑improvement, cost‑reduction and reliability initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid C driving licence (mandatory).
• Experience in industrial or plant maintenance environments.
• Ability to work on‑site and respond to emergencies promptly.

Required skills

• C driving licence.
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with 5S methodology.
