Duty Security Officer

About the role

The Duty Security Officer will oversee all security operations at the Khavda site, ensuring alignment with the business’s strategic objectives, operating model and standard operating procedures. This role involves supervising a team, managing surveillance systems, and acting as the first responder to incidents and emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and contribute to the site’s strategic objectives and operating model.
• Oversee end‑to‑end site operations, ensuring compliance with SOPs and reporting major exceptions to the Site Security Head.
• Conduct regular patrols, monitor CCTV and Genetic surveillance systems, and maintain critical alarm functionality.
• Manage man‑and‑vehicle access control, issue and deactivate access cards for visitors and officials.
• Supervise business traffic operations, including GPS and RFID tagging of trucks and cargo.
• Develop intelligence sources, monitor union activity, and gather information to prevent financial crime.
• Act as first responder during crises, lead or support the Quick Response Team, and update response plans based on incident learnings.
• Coordinate security awareness programs across sites.
