Doctorado Industrial en Salud – Predoctoral Research Contract

About the role

We are looking for a motivated pre‑doctoral researcher to join the BIOPATH group at Universidad Loyola and collaborate with the biotech company Duponte on an industrial health project. The position combines academic research with product development, leading to a four‑year doctoral thesis.

Key responsibilities

• Design and perform laboratory experiments to evaluate molecular biomarkers in 3D skin models.
• Process biological samples to uncover cellular repair pathways.
• Generate sequencing libraries and proteomics samples for omics analyses.
• Integrate biological data with predictive algorithms together with Duponte’s technical team.
• Document results and contribute to scientific publications and international conferences.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Molecular Biology or a related field.
• English proficiency at least B2 level for scientific writing.
• Interest in bridging academic research and industrial innovation.

Required skills

• Cell culture techniques, including 3D skin models.
• Molecular biology methods: RT‑qPCR, Western blot, ELISA.
• Experience with sequencing library preparation and proteomics sample handling.
• Knowledge of omics data analysis or bioinformatics.

What we offer

• Pre‑doctoral contract with a gross annual salary of €18,876.
• Four‑year appointment (three years with Universidad Loyola, one year with Duponte).
• Full‑time onsite work in Sevilla/Dos Hermanas.
• Supervision by Dr Azahara Rodríguez‑Luna and Dr Carlos Gómez Marín.
