Director of Sales

About the role

The Director of Sales will lead the hotel’s sales function, driving revenue growth across all market segments. This senior position oversees team performance, develops strategic plans, and builds strong relationships with corporate and local clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily sales activities, set individual and team goals, and monitor productivity and conversion rates.
• Coach, develop and motivate the sales team through regular meetings, performance reviews and action plans.
• Design and implement sales plans to increase occupancy, average daily rate (ADR) and RevPAR.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, leisure, group, MICE and F&B segments.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimise pricing and inventory.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key corporate accounts, negotiate agreements and conduct regular account reviews.
• Monitor local market trends, competitor activity and adjust strategies to capture untapped demand.
• Drive meeting, event and banquet sales, working closely with F&B and Operations to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in hotel sales or comparable hospitality environment.
• Strong track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans across multiple market segments.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with corporate clients and local business partners.
• Knowledge of market trends, competitor activity and hospitality sales cycles.
• Experience managing and developing high‑performing sales teams.
