Director of Sales

About the role

The Director of Sales will lead all day‑to‑day sales activities for a hospitality property located on Vagator Beach, Goa. Reporting to senior management, the role focuses on building long‑term, value‑based customer relationships to achieve property sales objectives and personal booking targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute and monitor sales strategies in collaboration with the sales leader and management team.
• Create and implement segment‑specific sales plans addressing revenue, customer acquisition and market positioning.
• Lead and motivate the sales team, set personal and team booking goals, and recommend performance targets.
• Approve space releases for catering events and support business operations from proposal generation to contract finalisation.
• Participate in sales calls, acquire new business and close deals.
• Analyse market and financial data using sales systems, assist revenue management with forecasts and review guest satisfaction results.
• Ensure exceptional customer service by interacting with guests, gathering feedback and empowering staff to maintain high service standards.

Required profile

• Either a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management or a related field with at least 3 years of sales/marketing experience, or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to lead sales teams, set and achieve booking goals, and drive revenue growth.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret market information and support revenue projections.
