Director of Sales (Hotel)

About the role

The Director of Sales will lead the hotel’s sales function, ensuring alignment with Hyatt International’s corporate strategies and brand standards. This role focuses on driving revenue across rooms, food & beverage and other profit centers while meeting the expectations of employees, guests and owners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Lead, coach and motivate the sales team to deliver high performance.
• Collaborate with Rooms, Food & Beverage and other departments to maximise cross‑selling opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and adjust tactics accordingly.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports and presentations for senior management.
• Negotiate contracts, group bookings and promotional agreements.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key corporate, travel and event accounts.
• Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in Marketing, Hospitality or Tourism management.
• Minimum 2 years experience as Director of Marketing or Director of Sales.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a hotel environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, administrative and interpersonal abilities.
