Director - Entertainment PRS, Malayalam

About the role

The Director – Entertainment PRS will lead the Product & Revenue Strategy function for the South region, acting as the primary bridge between programming/content teams and sales. The role focuses on driving the channel’s brand philosophy, optimizing inventory, and delivering revenue growth through strategic pricing, forecasting and property integration.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement pricing strategies in collaboration with the PRS Head and National Genre Head, aligning with organizational objectives and market conditions.
• Set channel pricing benchmarks, review deal structures, and participate in negotiations as needed.
• Develop client‑wise pricing packages, sponsor packages for impact shows, and band‑wise revenue budgets.
• Create and maintain genre‑specific strategies to monitor trends and their business impact.
• Build bottom‑up revenue plans for fiscal, quarterly and monthly periods and track performance against targets.
• Develop customized pitches based on genre insights and execute trade‑marketing initiatives such as mailers and on‑air promos.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales teams to forecast trends, design attractive packages, and support roadshows and client queries.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in pricing strategy, revenue forecasting and channel management within the media or entertainment sector.
• Strong analytical ability to translate market data into actionable pricing and revenue plans.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to align programming, content and sales stakeholders.
• Track record of negotiating and structuring complex client deals.
