Direct Taxation Specialist

About the role

Welspun is seeking a Direct Taxation Specialist to ensure accurate deduction, reporting, and compliance of TDS/TCS across the organization. The role involves end‑to‑end management of tax liabilities, audit support, and interaction with tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Verify TDS sections, rates and PAN validity for all transactions.
• Generate monthly TDS/TCS liabilities, process payments and ensure timely deposit with the treasury.
• Conduct quarterly/half‑yearly reconciliation of Form 26AS and reflect accurate balances in financial books.
• Prepare comprehensive working papers and respond to TDS assessment notices.
• Support tax audits and assist in the preparation of Income Tax Returns (ITR).
• Utilize SAP and other finance applications to streamline tax processes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Indian direct tax laws, especially TDS/TCS provisions.
• Experience in tax audit support and ITR preparation.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
