DevOps Engineer OMP OPR

About the role

BASF Digital Hub Hyderabad is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the OMP OPR team. You will work on innovative supply‑chain planning solutions, creating and maintaining OPAL‑based applications that support our global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support OMP‑related developments using the OPAL programming language.
• Build and deploy templates with Git version control.
• Implement pyramids, solvers and conflict resolution logic in OPAL.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including automated testing and operational support.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate planning solutions with SAP ECC, SAP APO and other enterprise systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, IT, Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• 2‑5 years of experience in supply‑chain planning (demand planning, network planning, detailed scheduling, optimization or data integration).
• Strong understanding of detailed planning & scheduling processes and SAP ECC/APO.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, globally distributed team.

Required skills

• SAP ECC and SAP APO knowledge.
• OMP planning platform expertise.
• Agile development methods (Scrum) and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
