DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes & GCP (6-8 yrs)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the design, deployment and management of containerised workloads on Google Cloud Platform. The role focuses on building robust Kubernetes clusters, automating CI/CD pipelines and ensuring security and reliability of cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters (preferably GKE) on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerised applications using tools such as Harness, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD.
• Develop, optimise and maintain Docker images and manage the full container lifecycle.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues in container orchestration and cloud infrastructure with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Enforce security best practices for containers, cloud resources and DevSecOps processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to enable micro‑services architecture and cloud‑native solutions.
• Automate operational tasks to improve system reliability, scalability and performance.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering or related fields.
• Strong expertise with Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Proficiency in Docker and containerisation concepts.
• Solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform services (Compute, Networking, IAM, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Harness, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio and API gateways.
• Good grasp of networking, security, cloud architecture and DevSecOps practices.
