Design Expert – Permanent Way (Railway) – Andhra Pradesh

About the role

Consulting Engineers Group Ltd., an ISO‑accredited global consultancy, is seeking a Design Expert specialized in Permanent Way (P.Way) for railway projects in Andhra Pradesh. The role involves leading the design and verification of track layouts in line with Indian Railway and RDSO standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare Permanent Way designs, including track alignment, geometry, cross‑sections, gradients, and track layouts per Indian Railway/RDSO standards.
• Conduct design review and technical verification of track plans, alignment drawings, BOQs, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with civil, structures, signalling, OHE and other disciplines to resolve interface issues and ensure design compatibility.
• Review site conditions, survey data and contractor submissions, providing technical solutions and clarifications for design and execution issues.
• Ensure compliance with Indian Railway, RDSO and relevant codes/specifications, supporting the project team in approvals, design modifications and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Permanent Way design for railway projects.
