Design Engineer

About the role

Bradken is seeking a Design Engineer to create and develop engineered solutions for its global mining product lines. You will work on a range of equipment, from ground engaging tools to mineral processing plant components, ensuring high performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and customise fit‑for‑purpose products for mining customers, from concept to detailed engineering.
• Produce solid models, detailed drawings, hand calculations, tolerance studies, and simulation analyses.
• Maintain product data in the PLM system and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Support product failure investigations, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to test, validate, and launch new solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design, development, or engineering services.
• Hands‑on experience with CAD modelling, engineering drawings, and Bill of Materials management.
• Familiarity with fabrication, casting processes, and engineering calculations.
