Design Engineer – Hydraulic Pumps (Mid‑Level)

About the role

We are seeking a Design Engineer / Executive to support the development and production of industrial hydraulic pumps for Bosch Rexroth India. The role combines strategic project leadership with hands‑on product engineering for our global manufacturing network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic support to the Group Leader and propose execution plans for projects.
• Drive project execution, monitor timelines, and report progress.
• Analyze data to create systematic procedures and continuous process improvements.
• Mentor team members and foster a collaborative environment.
• Deliver product engineering support for series production of hydraulic pumps across worldwide plants.
• Create and maintain Engineering Change Requests (ECR) in SAP, including BOM and material master updates.
• Design new pump components using CREO and perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and Design FMEA.
• Identify and implement product and process cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Testing.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (M.Tech preferred).
• 2–10 years of experience, preferably 4–6 years in industrial hydraulic pump design, including vane pumps.
• Proven experience in design of hydraulic pump components, development projects, and process improvement.

Required skills

• Hydraulic pump design and circuit knowledge.
• CREO (CAD) modeling.
• SAP – ECR, BOM, material master handling.
• FMEA, tolerance stack‑up analysis, GD&T.
• Engineering calculations and tolerance analysis.
• Cost‑reduction methodology for products and processes.
