Design Engineer – Concessions (Aerospace)

About the role

Quest Global is seeking a Design Engineer specialized in concessions for aircraft fuselage structures. You will work on resolving non‑conformities identified during production, delivering robust design solutions that meet manufacturability, assembly and reparability constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate fuselage non‑conformities from a design perspective and propose corrective solutions.
• Create 3D CATIA V5 models of specialized parts and generate detailed 2D drawings showing nominal and revised profiles.
• Select appropriate materials, fasteners, and protection measures, and coordinate NDT inspections.
• Study previous solutions to ensure high‑quality resolution of similar issues.
• Collaborate with the stress assessment team to verify design compliance.
• Report critical technical issues to functional management.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives by introducing new methods, processes and capabilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling non‑conformities in metallic fuselage structures for long‑range or single‑aisle aircraft (e.g., A320, A321, A330).
• Strong knowledge of Airbus standards (SRM/ASR) and concession processes.
• Ability to interpret drawings, understand load paths and primary/secondary aircraft structures.
• Detail‑oriented problem‑solver with a focus on quality and safety.

Required skills

• CATIA V5 (3D modelling and 2D drawing creation)
• SAP, DPDS, AIRINA, VPM/PDM
• GD&T and NDT inspection techniques
• Understanding of stress requirements and load‑path analysis
• Familiarity with Airbus fuselage sections and concession documentation
