Deputy Manager – Payments & Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and is looking for a Deputy Manager to build and lead the operation in the Pune‑Wakdewadi territory. You will be responsible for assembling a high‑performing field team, driving QR code, POS and SB deployments, and growing transaction volume and GMV.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate a Field Operations Sales (FOS) team.
• Acquire new merchants and oversee QR, POS/EDC and SB deployments.
• Develop distribution channels and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Ensure proper coverage through FOS mapping and channel management.
• Drive sales targets, retailer payment reconciliation and store activation activities.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and maintain process rigor and controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation/MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high energy for field work.
• Self‑starter attitude with a passion for meeting retailers.
