Deputy Manager – Payments & Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and seeks a Deputy Manager to build and lead the operation in a defined territory. You will hire, train and manage a field sales team, drive QR and POS deployments, and grow merchant relationships to generate transaction volume.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) and ensure high productivity.
• Acquire new merchants and lead QR, SB and POS/EDC deployment initiatives.
• Develop distribution channels, map coverage and manage channel relationships.
• Drive sales targets, retailer payment reconciliation and monthly store activation.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and maintain process rigor and controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships and distribution roles in consumer durables, digital or LSF is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and a high‑energy, self‑starter attitude.
