About the role

Republic Bharat TV is looking for a dynamic Deputy Executive Producer to lead end‑to‑end news production and manage the Production Control Room (PCR) across live and recorded broadcasts. The role ensures seamless execution of bulletins, prime‑time shows, breaking news, and special programming while upholding the channel’s editorial intensity, speed, and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee complete news production across all shifts, ensuring flawless live bulletins, prime‑time shows, breaking news, and special programs.
• Manage PCR operations during live and recorded broadcasts, guaranteeing on‑air precision.
• Plan and supervise rundowns in coordination with editorial leadership, aligning output with channel priorities.
• Make real‑time editorial and production decisions under high‑pressure live conditions.
• Coordinate structured breaking‑news coverage, integrating studio, field reporters, and multi‑location feeds.
• Maintain strict quality control over scripts, graphics, tickers, debates, and all visual elements.
• Ensure compliance with editorial policies, legal guidelines, and broadcast standards.
• Mentor and supervise producers and production staff, fostering discipline and accountability.
• Handle last‑minute editorial changes, technical disruptions, and crisis situations decisively.
• Improve PCR workflows, maintain broadcast logs, and own shift quality and response times.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in television news production.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to make quick decisions during live broadcasts.
• Assertive yet collaborative leadership style with high energy and ownership mindset.
• Willingness to work long hours and flexible shifts.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of PCR operations and broadcast systems.
• Proficiency with rundown management software such as iNews or similar platforms.
