Data Strategy & Governance Consultant

About the role

The Data Strategy & Governance Consultant will lead the enterprise approach to data strategy within Bosch's AI Centre of Excellence. You will analyse the current data landscape, define modernisation road‑maps and establish governance frameworks that enable AI‑ready, high‑quality data assets.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the enterprise data landscape – sources, platforms, pipelines, and architectures – to assess current state and maturity.
• Define data consolidation and modernisation strategy, including target‑state architecture, migration pathways and platform rationalisation.
• Assess data readiness for AI use cases and document gaps in availability, quality, completeness and access.
• Develop an enterprise data roadmap with articulated business value over time.
• Define and maintain data governance standards, policies and frameworks covering ownership, quality, lineage, metadata, MDM, privacy, access control and retention.
• Set standards for AI‑ready data products, pipelines and reusable data assets in collaboration with data teams.
• Provide consulting support for client engagements, pre‑sales, and executive decision‑making.
• Lead discovery workshops, interviews and alignment sessions to produce actionable recommendations and transformation programmes.
• Design adoption playbooks, change‑management interventions and capability‑building pathways.

Required profile

• 10–12 years of experience in data strategy, data governance, data architecture or analytics consulting.
• Proven track record of delivering data platform modernisation, migration strategies or lakehouse/cloud data architectures.
• Strong understanding of data management concepts such as quality, metadata, lineage, ownership, MDM, privacy and access management.
• Experience advising senior business and technology stakeholders and creating executive‑level business cases.
