Control Software Test Engineer - Python

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Validation & Test Automation Engineer to join our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) programs. The role focuses on developing test specifications, automating execution, and validating control software across SIL, HIL, and embedded environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop test specifications, plans and validation strategies for BESS control software.
• Design, automate and execute SIL and HIL test cases using Python (pytest) and configure HIL platforms such as dSPACE, NI, Vector or OPAL‑RT.
• Validate closed‑loop control algorithms, communication interfaces (MODBUS/MQTT) and real‑time applications.
• Integrate validation activities into CI/CD pipelines and Agile development processes, leveraging AI‑assisted tools to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6‑10 years of experience in software validation and test automation, with strong expertise in Python‑based automation using pytest.
