Data Privacy Consultant

About the role

As a Data Privacy Consultant within Deloitte's Cyber Team, you will work closely with clients and internal teams to design, implement and monitor data protection frameworks that align with evolving privacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop data protection policies and procedures in line with applicable privacy laws.
• Conduct assessments to identify privacy risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Monitor data processing activities to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Guide clients through Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy impact assessments.
• Design and refine privacy frameworks, processes and controls for client environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
• Relevant certifications such as CIPT, CIPM or CIPPE are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data protection laws, especially India’s Personal Data Protection Bill.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, information technology or a related field.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
