Data Ops Engineer (Remote, 3+ years experience)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Data Ops Engineer with at least three years of experience to join our partner’s team in Zurich. You will work on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data monitoring solutions while ensuring reliable batch production and report distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data monitoring applications and tools.
• Ensure batch production scheduling and report distribution are accurate and timely.
• Select, configure, and maintain optimal CI/CD tools and processes.
• Monitor model production and testing pipelines, automating data workflows.
• Establish end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines and guide the team on best practices.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation for Azure Databricks jobs, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse.
• Migrate code from development to production environments.
• Share knowledge and document processes for team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data operations or engineering.
• Strong experience with Azure DataOps and the Azure data ecosystem.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English; German is a plus.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (Azure Data Engineer Associate, DevOps Expert) are a plus.
