Data Scientist / Developer – Machine Learning & Analytics

About the role

We are seeking a Data Scientist/Developer to uncover hidden insights from large data sets and support smarter product decisions. You will work on research, model development, and automation to enhance our technology‑security‑resiliency services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and development on emerging data‑science technologies.
• Select features, build and optimise classifiers using machine‑learning algorithms.
• Perform data mining with state‑of‑the‑art methods.
• Improve data collection processes to support analytic systems.
• Clean, process and verify data integrity for analysis.
• Deliver ad‑hoc analyses and present results clearly.
• Create automated anomaly‑detection systems and monitor their performance.
• Interpret client requirements and contribute to high‑level solution design.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of machine‑learning techniques and algorithms.
• Solid foundation in mathematics and statistics.
• Experience with data‑visualisation and reporting.
• Ability to work with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Good communication skills and a data‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Machine‑learning algorithms such as k‑NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests.
• Statistical analysis and applied statistics (distributions, testing, regression).
• Computer vision, natural language understanding and deep‑learning concepts.
• Programming in Python (preferred) and scripting.
• Data‑science toolkits: R, Weka, NumPy, Pandas.
• Data‑visualisation tools: D3.js, GGplot, Matplotlib, Tableau.
• Query languages: SQL, Hive, Pig.
• NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase.
