Data Engineer II – Cloud Data Pipelines

About the role

Mastercard’s Enterprise Data Enablement team is looking for a Data Engineer II to design and build cloud‑native data pipelines that power enterprise‑scale data products. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable data solutions that support Mastercard’s global payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement new data capabilities and infrastructure to enable access to Mastercard, third‑party and partner data.
• Build and enhance data pipelines, data transfers and compliance‑related infrastructure in the cloud.
• Develop data infrastructure aligned with evolving product architectures using cloud‑native design principles.
• Collaborate with data management, governance and technical teams to ensure data integrity, security and compliance.
• Identify gaps in existing platforms, provide subject‑matter expertise and drive continuous improvement.
• Propose innovative solutions to address platform challenges and improve system effectiveness.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building data pipelines and data products in a cloud environment.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, architects and stakeholders.
• Curiosity for emerging technologies and a passion for innovation.
