Data Engineer II – Build Robust Data Products

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Data Engineer II to design, develop and maintain data products that power its global payments ecosystem. In this role you will create reliable data pipelines, ensure data quality, and enable analytics for internal and external customers. You will work within the Data and Analytics team to democratise data across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain new data products, solutions and infrastructure in the AWS cloud.
• Build and optimise data pipelines that ingest large card‑payment datasets.
• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, anomaly detection and monitoring dashboards.
• Identify gaps in existing data capabilities and provide remediation expertise.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable solutions.
• Support analytics and BI reporting through data transformation, integration and validation processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer building robust data and analytics solutions.
• Strong understanding of data quality, reliability and performance at scale.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts.
