Cyber Security Architect/Engineer I

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Architect/Engineer I to join our Detection and Response team. The role combines threat hunting and detection engineering in a hybrid work environment, providing exposure to state‑of‑the‑art security tools and a pathway for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and system logs to identify unusual activity and potential security threats.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to uncover threats that may have bypassed existing defenses.
• Collaborate with senior analysts to develop and implement detection rules and alerts within security platforms.
• Assist in vulnerability evaluation of systems and applications and recommend remediation measures.
• Document findings, methodologies, and response actions for knowledge sharing.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging cyber threats and adapt skills accordingly.
• Share insights with cybersecurity teams to enhance overall detection and response capabilities.
• Provide technical assistance for cybersecurity incidents, ensuring a proactive protection approach.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in Information Security, IT, or Threat Intelligence.
• Experience with SIEM and EDR solutions.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and networking.
• Analytical skills in threat, vulnerability, and intrusion detection analysis.
• Understanding of threat vectors and data exfiltration techniques.
• Customer‑oriented mindset and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk Enterprise Security).
• Endpoint Detection and Response tools (Crowdstrike Falcon, Carbon Black, FireEye HX, Windows Defender ATP).
• Cloud security knowledge (Azure, AWS, Microsoft Office 365).
• Linux operating system.
• Dynamic and static malware analysis.
• Relevant certifications (GIAC/SANS, ISC/CISSP, Microsoft).
• Scripting in Python.
• Windows OS and networking fundamentals.
