Customer Service Specialist – CDA & PA

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join its Sales & Sales Support team in India. The role focuses on timely order processing, handling customer inquiries, and supporting the supply chain to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming orders via phone, email, and representative instructions.
• Monitor deadlines, communicate backorder status, and coordinate with the planning team for weekly order reviews.
• Liaise with finance, warehouse, delivery, credit controllers, and sales representatives to resolve queries.
• Manage returns, log cases in the CRM system, and arrange product returns according to policy.
• Process price adjustments, maintain documentation, and generate weekly sales reports.
• Notify relevant offices of adverse events or quality complaints within 24 hours.
• Maintain asset and contract databases, ensuring purchase orders are processed correctly.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet processing deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures and GxP compliance.
• Ability to handle complaints professionally and provide post‑sale support.
