Customer Service Representative

About the role

The Customer Service Representative will join the Data Processing Department to provide first‑line technology support for schools and internal users. Working under the Director of Data Processing, you will handle telephone inquiries, offer basic troubleshooting, and create work orders for the Maintenance Department.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and log technology‑related phone calls from schools and staff.
• Answer questions using personal knowledge and the department’s computer database.
• Prepare narrative summaries of complex issues for referral to specialists.
• Enter and track work orders for technology and school‑maintenance requests.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and resolutions.

Required profile

• Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Good telephone etiquette and customer‑service orientation.
• Analytical mindset for problem resolution.
• Willingness to work the fixed schedule of 11:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with common computer terminology.

What we offer

• 5‑hour workday (11:30 am – 4:30 pm) for 238 days per year.
• Hourly rate of $20.98 (Salary Grade 7) for 2026‑2027.
