Culinarian – Food Preparation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Culinarian to join our kitchen team at a Marriott property in Pune. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality food items, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting the overall culinary operation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
• Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and complete food‑preparation checklists.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Test food for doneness, monitor quality, and ensure correct portioning.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures and follow all safety, security, and company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related culinary experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, lift and carry items up to 25 lb.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
