Culinarian – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Culinarian joins Marriott International’s Food & Beverage team at the Golf Course Square location in Pune. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
• Cook and assemble hot and cold foods, operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Test foods for doneness, monitor quality, and ensure proper presentation.
• Set‑up and break‑down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain clean, disinfected kitchen areas and equipment.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures, following all safety and security policies.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions to the manager.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets and confidential information, and communicate clearly with team members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related culinary or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation, portioning and cooking techniques.
• Measuring, mixing and following standardized recipes.
• Food safety practices, temperature monitoring and hygiene standards.
