Credentialing Specialist – Healthcare Provider Networks

About the role
Individuals in the Credentialing Specialist role will oversee the credentialing and re‑credentialing of hearing and vision care providers for NationsBenefits networks. The role works closely with Provider Support, Hearing, and Vision operations teams and requires strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update electronic and hard‑copy credentialing records for providers.
- Process, track, and monitor provider credentialing documents in the system.
- Communicate with providers to obtain missing or updated documentation.
- Prepare and send credentialing approval letters and draft minutes for Credentialing Committee meetings.
- Generate reports on credentialing status and reconcile data gaps with the Network Accuracy Specialist.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree (preferred).
- 3‑5 years of experience in healthcare credentialing or related provider relations.
Required skills
- Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate proficiency).
- Microsoft Office suite.
