Crane Electrician Technician – Vizag

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Crane Electrician Technician to join our team in Vizag. The role involves electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of crawler and telescopic mobile cranes used in heavy‑lifting projects across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on crawler and telescopic mobile cranes.
• Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring schematics and hydraulic‑electrical interface systems.
• Diagnose faults in PLCs, sensors, relays, CAN‑bus networks, limit switches, load‑moment indicators and safety devices.
• Inspect, repair or replace wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, controllers and electrical panels.
• Attend on‑site crane breakdowns and provide immediate fault‑finding support.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and periodic inspections of crane electrical systems.
• Ensure proper operation of boom, outrigger, hoist systems and safety interlocks following OEM standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical and hydraulic technicians to complete full crane repairs.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma/B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience with crawler and telescopic mobile cranes.
• Ability to work independently on project sites and under breakdown conditions.
• Additional certification in heavy equipment or crane maintenance is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of crane electrical and electronic systems.
• Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of CAN‑bus, sensors, relays and safety devices.
• Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Experience with multimeters, insulation testers and other electrical testing tools.
• Familiarity with hydraulic‑electrical integrated systems.
