Corporate Litigation Lawyer

About the role

The Boston Institute of Analytics is seeking a Corporate Litigation Lawyer to lead and manage all aspects of its litigation portfolio in Mumbai. The role involves representing the institute before courts, tribunals and arbitration forums, while providing strategic legal advice to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of litigation cases, from initial evaluation through appeals.
• Draft, review and finalize pleadings, motions, affidavits and other court documents.
• Coordinate with witnesses, domain experts, external counsel and law enforcement agencies as required.
• Conduct exhaustive legal research, prepare memoranda and stay updated on statutory changes and landmark judgments.
• Represent the institute in courts, tribunals, government agencies and arbitration forums, including participation in mediation and conciliation.
• Provide legal advice to management and internal teams to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Review legal and business documents, assist in e‑discovery and document production, and flag inconsistencies.
• Liaise with cross‑functional teams (HR, Finance, Operations, Compliance) and manage relationships with external law firms.
• Identify potential legal liabilities, participate in internal audits and ensure best practices in legal risk handling.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing all stages of corporate litigation.
• Strong ability to draft and review pleadings, motions and affidavits.
• Experience representing clients before courts, tribunals and arbitration forums.
• Demonstrated skill in conducting legal research and preparing concise memoranda.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and external counsel.
