Copyright Specialist

About the role

Believe is seeking a Copyright Specialist to support copyright verification, rights assessment, and dispute resolution for digital content. The role involves reviewing rights documentation, evaluating competing claims, identifying risks, and collaborating with DSPs, clients, and third‑party rights holders to protect legitimate rights.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess copyright and ownership documentation, identify gaps, and maintain accurate records.
• Evaluate the validity of evidence supporting copyright or licensing claims, assess risks, and escalate complex matters.
• Manage copyright disputes with DSPs, clients, labels, publishers, artists and third‑party rights holders, handling takedowns, counter‑notices and reinstatements.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and support improvements to verification processes and SOPs.

Required profile

• 5+ years in copyright operations, legal compliance, DMCA/DSA claims or rights management within music or digital media.
• Strong understanding of global copyright frameworks such as DMCA and the EU Copyright Directive/DSA.
• Excellent written and spoken English with ability to draft professional correspondence.
• Proven experience in dispute resolution, critical thinking and proactive problem solving.
