Contracts Engineer – Procurement & Contracts

About the role

The Contracts Engineer will support the full contract lifecycle, from pre‑award planning through post‑award execution, ensuring compliance with company standards and procurement objectives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to secure optimal commercial terms and drive efficiency using digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing critical contracts, evaluate vendors, and develop contracting plans.
• Conduct pre‑qualification, issue RFQs via digital RFX systems, and organize clarification meetings.
• Analyse vendor offers, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate commercial terms.
• Identify and mitigate commercial or contractual risks, using e‑auction and reverse‑auction platforms.
• Generate purchase orders and manage SAP transactions for cost optimisation.
• Lead kick‑off meetings, monitor mobilisation, and attend progress reviews.
• Coordinate site visits, ensure contractual compliance, and manage change orders.
• Facilitate claim reviews, documentation, and timely settlement with engineers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, contract management, or related engineering functions.
• Strong understanding of pre‑award and post‑award processes.
• Ability to work with internal project, plant, and finance teams.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
