About the role
The Consultant – FPO Strengthening will support Goat Producer Companies (GPCs) across selected districts in Bihar, India. Working under the JSPVAT Phase‑2.0 initiative, the role focuses on strengthening farmer producer organisations within the goat value chain.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to GPCs and Producer Groups in Nawada, West Champaran and other identified districts.
- Coordinate with MSC (MicroSave Consulting), JEEViKA State Livestock Team, DPCUs, cluster‑level federations and community cadres.
- Travel extensively to districts, blocks, villages and operational areas of GPCs for field support and monitoring.
- Report to the Senior Consultant and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building among farmer groups.
Required profile
- Officer – FPO Strengthening (Goat Producer Companies) position.
- Functional reporting and coordination with multiple stakeholders including MSC, JEEViKA, DPCUs and GPCs.
- Willingness to undertake extensive field travel across Bihar.
