Compliance Specialist – Finance & Risk Management

About the role

The Compliance Specialist will lead compliance, internal controls, and risk management activities within the finance function of HARMAN Automotive. You will work closely with internal and external auditors, manage SOX and internal audit processes, and ensure SAP GRC access controls are properly administered.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the Risk Control Matrix and related documentation.
• Perform periodic self‑testing of controls and update process documentation.
• Define, enforce, and monitor internal controls across finance processes.
• Initiate and approve SAP GRC access requests, handling authorisations in the manager’s absence.
• Act as primary liaison with internal and external auditors to ensure audit readiness and timely issue resolution.
• Coordinate monthly manual journal entry reviews across all locations.
• Drive process improvements within the compliance function and across other finance departments.
• Support enterprise risk management initiatives and promote compliance awareness campaigns.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 4 years of experience in a compliance or internal audit role.
• Strong accounting and audit knowledge, preferably with experience in multinational organisations or Big‑4 environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
