Compliance Officer – Fund Management

About the role

BCI is establishing a Fund Management Entity in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) and is looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to lead regulatory and governance functions for the new entity and its managed funds.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with IFSCA, SEZ, AML/CFT, KYC, corporate governance and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Develop, maintain and enforce internal policies, procedures and risk‑management practices for the Fund Management Entity.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulators, auditors, service providers and the Board of Directors.
• Provide oversight, guidance and training to internal teams on compliance matters.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain ongoing compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance within fund management or asset‑management environments.
• Strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations, including IFSCA, SEZ, AML/CFT and KYC frameworks.
• Excellent understanding of corporate governance standards and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Ability to work independently in a new market entry context and liaise effectively with senior stakeholders.
