Senior Manager, Non-Financial Risk Controls Testing (International)

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead the central monitoring of non‑financial risk controls across ANZ’s Institutional International businesses. Using data‑driven methods, the role assesses control design and operating effectiveness to deliver optimal risk outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute risk‑based monitoring and testing of controls across assigned products, processes and value chains.
• Conduct Control Self‑Assessment (CSA) in partnership with control owners, documenting design and effectiveness.
• Analyse testing outcomes, identify non‑compliance and thematic issues, and translate findings into clear, prioritized remediation actions.
• Drive automation and coverage improvements, ensuring testing work is governed, traceable and timely.
• Collaborate with business control owners and risk subject‑matter experts to strengthen the end‑to‑end control environment and risk culture.

Required profile

• Significant experience in non‑financial risk, control testing or internal audit within a banking or financial services environment.
• Proven ability to lead CSA processes and work with first‑line business partners.
• Strong analytical mindset with data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑influence skills.
• Ability to manage multiple testing programmes and deliver results on schedule.
