Commis – Kitchen Assistant (Full‑time)

About the role

The Commis will support the kitchen team at our Golf Course Square location, preparing ingredients, cooking under supervision, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. This full‑time, non‑management position is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality and basic culinary experience.

Key responsibilities

• Portion, chop, wash, peel, and store fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Prepare and cook food following quality, presentation, and safety standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test food for doneness and monitor quality throughout preparation.
• Prepare cold dishes and assemble plated meals.
• Set up and break down work stations, ensuring proper sanitation.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures for compliance.
• Follow company safety policies and report any hazards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions for an entire shift.
