Commis – Kitchen Assistant (Full-time)

About the role

The Commis will support the culinary team at our Golf Course Square location in Pune by preparing ingredients, cooking simple dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a high‑volume hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Portion, chop, wash, peel, and store fresh fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare and cook food, including cold dishes, using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test foods for doneness, monitor quality, and ensure proper presentation.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain hygiene of all kitchen tools and equipment.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, knives, and appliances; verify temperature controls.
• Follow company safety, security, and food‑handling policies; report any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb, and work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Operating kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers).
• Food preparation and basic cooking techniques.
