Civil Designer – E&P (AutoCAD, Civil 3D)

About the role

Jacobs is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Technician to join its Civil Exploration & Production (E&P) design team. The role involves creating detailed technical drawings and 3‑D models for steel structures, reinforced concrete, and earthworks, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed steel detailing drawings using AutoCAD, adhering to BS8666 and project standards.
• Develop reinforced concrete (RC) drawings, including rebar layouts, with CADRC software.
• Design earthworks models, generate ground profiles, and perform cut‑and‑fill and volume calculations using Civil 3D.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and multidisciplinary team members to align designs with project requirements.
• Maintain organized documentation and version control for all drawings and models.
• Stay current with CAD technology trends and continuously improve technical competencies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7 years of proven experience as an AutoCAD Technician with a focus on steel detailing, RC detailing, and civil 3‑D earthworks.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction practices, and relevant detailing standards.
